The Austin Resource Recovery (ARR) has adopted a comprehensive plan to achieve the City’s zero waste goals. However, ARR does not have access to all citywide waste information to enable them to fully measure and report progress toward meeting established zero waste goals. Also, ARR has reported waste diversion based on residential waste information only, which presents an incomplete view of Austin’s progress toward citywide zero waste goals.
